I am a fleet manager responsible for a fleet of 34 tractor trailers and straight trucks along with several packing vans. My hope was to find a fuel treatment to improve fuel efficiency for our various units while reducing maintenance costs and extending the life of the various vehicles. We tested the XFO product starting with a base line of three runs which averaged 5.3 MPG, choosing Derwood Jones, an owner-operator who had the most consistent trips and loads, so we could get a more accurate assessment of the fuel economy. We then treated the next three runs using 32 oz of XFO to treat 2560 gallons of diesel. After running the three loads to Georgia and Florida and back, almost all highway, Derwood was able to achieve 5.9MPG on average with his Volvo truck that had 900,000 miles on the odometer. That .6 MPG was an 11.1% improvement in fuel economy! We plan to use XFO fuel treatment for our entire diesel fleet. We look forward to trying XFO on our gasoline packing vans as well, so that we save our entire fleet milage and get the added bonus of reducing maintenance costs and extending the life of the entire fleet of trucks and vans.
